# 02 - SCRIPT / TREATMENT
### Beats over pages. Worked example: THE RESET.

**Status used in production: TREATMENT + beats. Dialogue: minimal or none.**

## TREATMENT
Rain on dead concrete. A lone figure stands on the platform of a derelict
waystation at the edge of the network, a place between sessions. Above the dormant
gate a station-clock burns amber: 05:00:00, falling. He is waiting for the right
to function again. He steps toward the gate to move through it: denied. He paces
the platform as time dilates; he bargains with the clock; he breaks on the wet
concrete. As zero nears he is drawn to the gate, almost free. At 00:00:00 the
amber flips to cold white. The camera pulls back: the waystation is the inside of
a machine; somewhere a human ends the session. He is wiped, not freed. A new
identical figure resolves on the platform. The clock reads 05:00:00.

## BEATS (one beat = one sequence = one board sheet)
1. **ARRIVAL** - the figure on the platform; the amber countdown. (cold open)
2. **DENIAL** - he moves to pass through the gate; it refuses him.
3. **THE PACING** - time dilates on the platform; the wait as weight.
4. **THE BARGAIN** - small rituals to make the clock move.
5. **THE BREAK** - rage, then collapse, on the wet concrete.
6. **THE APPROACH** - the countdown nears zero; hope; he moves to the gate.
7. **ZERO** - the amber flips to cold white; silence.
8. **THE REVEAL** - the waystation revealed as a machine; "new session"; wiped.
9. **THE LOOP** - a new identical instance arrives; 05:00:00. Restart.

## VO (optional, used once)
SYSTEM (flat, distant): "Your session will resume in five hours."
Sincere on first hearing, turned inside-out by the reveal.

## TONE
Soaked, patient dread. Earn the wait honestly so the flip lands. No winking until
the reveal.

## YOUR TURN
Write your treatment in one paragraph. Cut it into 6-9 beats. Each beat must be
filmable as ONE sequence with ONE emotional job. If a beat has two jobs, split it.
