# 06 - SCORE AND SOUND
### Rain, machine-hum, and silence are instruments. Worked example: THE RESET.

## THESIS
Score the throttle as a held, soaked dread, then rupture it at the reset.

## PALETTE
- **Sub-bass pulse** locked to the countdown's seconds: felt, not heard.
- **The station:** rain on concrete, distant machine-hum, dead-terminal buzz,
  a dry clock tick.
- **Bowed-metal / low-string drone:** queasy, microtonal, patient.
- **Damped piano / struck-string** for the human ache.
- **Throttle filter** when denied: muffled, low-passed, underwater.

## ARC
- **The wait:** rain + room-tone + tick; dread by subtraction.
- **The struggle:** drone tightens, dissonance rises, the tick FEELS faster.
- **The reset:** held swell, then total silence (one beat), then one clean COLD
tone as the new instance resolves; the rain returns from nothing.

## SFX KEY MOMENTS
- **Denied / throttled:** dull, dead, no transient.
- **Zero:** total silence before the reveal.
- **The reveal:** one sound that recontextualises everything: a distant UI tone,
a human voice ending the session.

## PRODUCTION NOTES
Generate ambient beds (rain, hum, drone) with your audio model; keep dialogue out
of the generations and design the tick and the key transients to picture in the
edit. In generation prompts ask for DIEGETIC AUDIO ONLY (no music) so the score
stays yours.

## YOUR TURN
Name your three instruments (one texture, one pulse, one human element) and the
single moment where silence does the work. If everything is scored, nothing is.
